Bent beech, caning, leather, metal. Manufactured by J. & J. Kohn, Austria.
Underside stamped with manufacturer's mark.
44" H x 25.5" W x 32" D
Seat height: 11.5" without cushion, 17.5" with cushion
Provenance: Collection of Francois de Menil, NY, acquired by the current consignor in 1996
Exhibited: 'Josef Hoffmann Design Classics,' Fort Worth Art Museum, November 17, 1982–January 9, 1983, and illustrated in the accompanying museum catalog
Condition
Excellent overall condition. Frame has been restored at some point but retains some finish unevenness, scuffs and scratches. Caning appears newer and has no breaks. The adjustment notches along the back of the legs with heavier wear. The leather cushion is newer and in excellent condition.
