Elizabeth Garouste and Mattia Bonetti were a duo of French designers who were known for their imaginative decorative art and furniture designs. Their unique style paired romantic, surreal, and avant-garde aesthetics to create wholly original versions of everyday objects such as candle holders, armoirs, and chairs. “Our hope is to give people the feeling of freedom in the choice of forms,” Garouste and Bonetti stated in reference to their eclectic style. “Good taste really bothers us a lot. What we care about is implanting doubt.
