Wladimir Zabaleta

(Venezuelan, born 1944)

Wladimir Zabaleta (Venezuelan, b.1944) is a Contemporary painter, sculptor, and printmaker. He studied art at the Arturo Michelena School of Fine and Applied Arts in Venezuala, where he later became the director. He was also the director of the Carmelo Fernández School of Visual Arts in San Felipe, Venezuela, between 1971 and 1979. In 2009, the National Symphony Orchestra in Mexico premiered a suite inspired by a work by Zabaleta entitled Dos Visiones.
