Ken Currie

(Scottish, born 1960)

Ken Currie is known for his unique style of painting exploring themes of identity, mortality, and the human experience. He was born in 1960 in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, and grew up surrounded by the rugged landscapes and gritty industrial surroundings of his hometown. 
 
Currie studied at the Glasgow School of Art, where he developed his artistic vision and sharpened his painting skills. He has gained international recognition for his powerful and thought-provoking work, which often features bleak and haunting images of the human form.
