Biography
As a child, Navarro showed an early interest in the arts and received formal training in painting and drawing. He studied at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, where he honed his skills and developed his signature style.
Throughout his career, Navarro experimented with various techniques and media, including acrylic, oil, and mixed media. His works are characterized by bold colors, intricate patterns, and a strong sense of movement and rhythm.
Navarro's work has been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world, including in the United States, Japan, and Europe. Following his death in 1999, he left a legacy as one of the most talented and celebrated artists in the Philippines, and his work has had a significant impact on the country’s art scene.
In 2018, his mixed media artwork Various Voices, Various Rooms was sold at auction for a record-breaking price of $95,466, cementing his place as a highly valued and sought-after artist.
