Biography
Bryan Organ (British, b.1935) is a portrait painter. He was most well-known for his 1981 painting of Diana Princess of Wales, which is in the collection of the National Portrait Gallery in London among his other portrait works. Organ studied at the Loughborough College of Art from 1951–1955, and the Royal Academy Schools from 1955–1959. He also served at a lecturer in drawing and painting at the Loughborough College of Art in the early 1960s. The City Gallery in Leicester hosted his first solo exhibition in 1958. He continued to have shows at Gadsby Gallery, Redfern Gallery, Kunsthalle, Harold Reed Gallery, Mostra Mercato d’Arte Contemporanea, and the São Paulo Museum of Art.
