            Description:
'LUV' is a masterful play of eccentric neon colors that creates beautiful visual harmony between line, typography, and depth. Miller emulates collective human expressions of love, emotion, and passion that transcends outside of the pictorial frame. Harland Miller is a writer and artist Born in Yorkshire, England in 1964. he studied at Chelsea School of Art, graduating in 1988 with an MA. Miller published his first novel ‘Slow Down Arthur, Stick to Thirty,’ published by Fourth Estate, in 2000. In the same year he published a novella titled ‘At First I was Afraid, I was Petrified.’ Published by Book Works, the novella is a study of obsessive compulsive disorder. It is based on a hoard of hundreds of Polaroids found by Miller and taken by a relative of his, all of oven knobs all turned to “Off”. In 2001, Miller produced the first of his iconic series of Penguin Book cover artwork and was immediately struck by the visceral nostalgia of it. Consequently, Miller has spent the past two decades developing his satirical take on the books, marrying his love for words and art. Throughout his career so far, Miller has had over fifteen solo exhibitions and has been involved in around thirty group exhibitions in renowned institutions from around the world, including White Cube, London, Royal Academy of Arts, Somerset House and Blain/Southern in Berlin. Over his career, Miller has amassed a diverse collector base ranging from famous art dealers including Jay Joplin to world renowned musicians like Angus Young, George Michael, Ed Sheeran and Sir Elton John.
